Political stability papers - Part 1

Legislation to facilitate (some would say create) political stability in Solomon Islands has been discussed on several occasions since mid 2008. These discussions have come to fruition in form this week, in the form of a white paper tabled by the SI PM. Dr Sikua - "Policies for development of political party system and governance reform in Solomon Islands".

This posting is supposed to provide a quick guide to some of the major documents available online regarding this process beginning last year. It is not complete, but a second posting should fill in some of the major gaps. Suggestions welcome!

March 2009 - CNURA White paper tabled in SI Parliament

November 2008 - Sir Peter Kenilorea - Realising political stability in Solomon Islands
